Bottle from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours amber with a modest beige head that didn't persist. Aroma of amber malt with some floral hop. Med body. It's malty but not all that undry. Balancing hop bitterness. The hops have a bite - so it's more than floral. Sort of toffee and grass/hay. Better than many ambers.

Light copper in color with a two-finger head. Aroma is hints of toast and light toasted grains. Taste is definitely on the malty side with toast and light roasted grains.

Orange brown with a medium sized foamy beige head. Malty and boozy with light notes of caramel, bread and wood. Long finish. Medium body.

Bottle. Pour is not red or even dark, its pale yellow. Not sure how some of these beers get off calling themselves red. I'm probably wrong but aren't irsh red ales sposed to be a little darker than pale yeller? Just asking. Nose is whiskey barrel. Taste is quite strong but not as whiskey as the nose would indicate.Its \a little stronger and less civilzed than a good red fer sher. Seems to have more alky in it than listed here. I guess its the whole whiskey thing going on with these altec kentucky things. Overall a little too much for a red.

Nutty toffee and hay aroma. Golden yellow with nice white head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and lightly bitter hay flavor. Body a bit light. Not bad.
