Coffee Cream Ale- Cream ale brewed with Haitian coffee and aged in oak bourbon barrels.

The brewers at Lexington Brewing Co. took a traditional cold-conditioned cream ale brewed with flaked corn and added our own Haitian coffee to the mix. After resting in fresh bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky's premier distillers, Kentucky Coffee Barrel Cream Ale becomes a sessionable beer packed with flavor. Big, bold notes of coffee on the nose and palate give way to a smooth finish of bourbon grains and oak. Subtle notes of vanilla and caramel complement this beer from time spent in the barrel.

330ml bottle at Farmers Bar, Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear light amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and a few champagne bubbles. The aroma is big coffee. No room for anything else. The flavour is light bitter and sweet with a smooth, rich. massive, dry spicy coffee, palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Am I in Starbucks? Coffee isnโ€™t cheap but they added loads to this beer!

This beer has a rich coffee aroma. The flavor is of sweet malt and coffee mostly. It has a creamy mouthfeel.. Bourbon? Maybe a trace. Maybe. Itโ€™s minimal. Overall itโ€™s alright though thereโ€™s not much going on here for a barrel aged beer.

Bottle for 3$ at chalet. As soon as you pop the lid you get this clean coffee aroma permeating the nose. Its color is mostly pale but a little darker. Taste is rather milder than expected. The coffee is certainly present, and its not in your face like so many other coffee beers. I'm not a fan of these kentucky barrel beers but its not bad overall and one of the more acceptable alltech kentucky brews as far as I'm concerned.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 7/28/19. Clear gold, viscous looking as it pours. Thin fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of coffee, corn, whiskey, vanilla, oak. Taste is corn, vanilla, oak, coffee, caramel, pale malt. Medium bodied. Interesting... feels like a big boozy beer at only 5.5%.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a honey color with a medium sized creamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee and vanilla. The flavor was brewed coffee and vanilla cream. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.
