Can. Very brown with a light tan head. Very malty and nutty but average for a brown ale.

Pours dark brown with a small ight tan head. It smells of roasted caramel malt. The flavor is sweet, toasted caramel malt and nuts. There's minimal hop bitterness. It's medium bodied and a fairly solid brown ale.

Can from kroger in northern kentucky. Brown of course on the eye. Taste initially has some astringent bite on it. In the middle, I start to get used to it. However, that astringent bite makes it a little uncommon for a gentle brown ale. Yes, somewhat enjoyable but that astringent bite, tho it gets somewhat acceptable near the end, keeps sticking its head up like a wack a mole game at the fair, heheheh.

12 ounce can, 7/23/19. Near black in the glass, large dense creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, nuts, molasses. Taste is nuts, roast, molasses, treacle, dark berries. Medium bodied, low carb, mild bitterness. Solid. Brewed @ Abita according to the can. Solid beer.

Sour milk, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet molasses, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Decent for a brown ale but pretty sweet.

Can: (Brewed by Abita, in Abita Springs, LA) Slightly hazy dark brown with a thick beige head. Caramel, chocolate aroma. Taste has a bit of cola, caramel malt, powdery chocolate and vanilla. Initially sweet, then acquires a mild earthy bitter. Decently malty.....not bad at all.
