A brown ale with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel flavors and a slightly creamy mouthfeel. This version is well balanced and light enough for a warm day, yet dark enough for colder weather.

An expensive gift from my son - in - law's dad in Bowling Green KY; big thanks Troy! This pounder can cost him 5$ at the source. Pour is just like the photo, big and nearly black with a nice tan foamy head that goes quite craggy. The eye detects some very dark red tinge penetrating thru this uncloudy brew. Nose is chocolate malt. First taste I'm getting roasty, near ashy, burnt malt flavors, but at first - at least in a good way. Yes, I'm dreaming of old partially burnt damp campfire wood. In the middle its bordering on bitter annoyance with the burnt flavors. Really feels stronger than the 5.4% listed on the can. At times I get the feeling I'm battling with a strong baltic porter. The burnt bitter bite continues to move its character further into the forefront of the session. Yea, this is called nut brown; but maybe its better described as burnt nutshells brown, hehehh. Finishes with an almost acrid lasting taste in the mouth. Could use a little more carbonation and a few more manners. JMH pale american lager loven opinion. There, you have it.

Good nut like pistachio. Some roast and some light caramel. Good balance and easy drinking. Pours brown with decent head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Nice. Tap at brewpub.

Draft (growler pour). Nutty chocolate malt and fresh hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large light tan head. Moderately sweet nutty, light lactic chocolate malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Decent.
