The flagship Irish Amber Ale that started it all. Full-flavored , medium bodied, with a caramelly, malty finish.

From bottle at Minneapolis Marriott City Center. Unfortunately served very cold (kept in ice). Aroma just some malt. Body medium. Taste relatively medium sweet, with low bitterness.

Bottle. Sour milk, toffee malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head. Mildly sweet buttery toffee malt and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Pretty good.

This actually isn’t too bad. Not much there in the aroma department. Appearance has a long lasting thick head. Flavor’s the highlight with a nice, slightly toasty malt, a bit sweet, toffee, caramel, just enough bitter and tang to balance. Very drinkable. Pleasant finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear a pale amber orange with very visible carbonation and a white head that dissipates and laces slightly. Aroma is thin with a decent amount of corn with a a bit of sweetness and hints of grass notes. Flavor is similarly thin with light grains and corn and a bit of grass.

Pint draft at Kips in St Louis Park, MN. Pour is clear orange reddish golden with not much head. Aroma of some sweet maltiness, a touch of grass. Taste is the maltiness, some chemical flavor that is a bit off putting. Palate is thinnish, quick clean finish. Not offensive, just not too much going on. Appreciate the social aim of the brewery.

I have no idea why this is classified as spice/herb/vegetable. This is a standard amber beer in the class of Killians, but not quite that good. Light red in color. Some malt in the flavor. Thin.
