You’re in love with this beer. One of our year-round flagship beers, Stacy’s Mom is an IPA with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. It’s dry-hopped entirely with Citra, which, as you may have guessed, gets its name from its strong citrus notes. (You’re so smart!)

Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of vine and pine resin. Taste has topical notes, cherries, pine, and citrus. Palate has strong vine notes on the nose, lingering. Very close to a west coast IPA.

On draft. Pours a clear deep amber gold with a medium off white head. Nose is more traditional IPA-esque with a floral and citrus hop note. Watery mouthfeel. Tropical fruit, citrus flavour. Not very complex or deep.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is lightly hazy (fine white particulates) light orange-yellow with minimal sparkle, finger+ width fizzy white head with poor retention and decent soapy lacing. Aroma is citrus over light grain background. Taste is sweet citrus along with earthy, somewhat resinous bitter. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and mildly sweet but mostly bitter, crisp, dry finish. Overall, I would have liked the sweet to dominate the bitter and you only get so much complexity with a single hop, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle. Orange, mango, caramel malt, and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with giant white head. Moderately sweet orange caramel malt and mildly bitter pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body. Kind of boring - think the IBU estimate is a bit high.
