You’re in love with this beer. One of our year-round flagship beers, Stacy’s Mom is an IPA with low bitterness and lots of hop flavor. It’s dry-hopped entirely with Citra, which, as you may have guessed, gets its name from its strong citrus notes. (You’re so smart!)

Bottle: Clear, bright gold with a quick white head. Grapefruit, orange scent. Moderately sweet orange malt, grapefruit juice....a hint of lemon/pineapple. Tasty, but quite sweet. Drinks incredibly lightly for the ABV.... and 85 IBU ?.....8.5, maybe.....punctuation is important.

Copper coloured body with a very large, eight centimetre tall off-white head that doesn’t really fade at all. Aroma of sort-of funky hops with some earthy, yeastie, bready notes, but the hops show some bitterness and citrus fruit, but not much. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and earthy flavours from the malt and the hops, but some stale hops are present along with a lot of effervescence. Aftertaste shows more of the hop notes, but this time they are balanced out by some sugars and then ending with some watery flavours. Overall, a decent beer at best - this shows too much funkiness and not enough hop complexities - the hops there (there isn’t a ton) show more earthiness than citra hoppiness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from GAT Beer in [NorthEast] Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 02-July-2016 for US$2,75 sampled in my hotel room in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a few hours later on 02-July-2016.

Tap, Hollywood. Mild BO aroma but in a sweeter fruity way. It’s like the BO of your mate after sex, yeah. Mildly IPA on the tongue. After the session continues, the bitterness finally begins to mount but the 7.5% never really shows its true colors. Getting a little dizzy near the end. A fairly well behaved beer for an IPA.

Sampled on draft at Smokin Joes this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large fluffy white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dryish and tart with citric acid, a bit of lemon and grapefruit. The flavor was dryish and tart citric acid, lemon and a bit of grapefruit. Medium length finish. Medium body. Decent.

Another stellar east coast IPA. Nice astringent, resinous hops in both flavor and aroma. Slightly hazy medium golden body. Small creamy off white head. Sticky bitter finish.
