Salted Caramel Belgian-Style Dark Strong Ale: Sweet Tooth is a complex, candy-like Belgian Dark Strong Ale boasting rich caramel malt flavors and dark fruit notes wrapped in the savory-sweet interplay of a salted caramel. If Willy Wonka made a beer, this would be it.

12oz bottle. Amber brown body, not much a head. Sweet, one dimensional stuff. Brown sugar, raisin, caramel. Completely lacks the effervescent mouthfeel or depth of a good Belgian brown, just seems streamlined and incomplete. Not bad or off, just another mediocre offering.

Can. Oak, prune, cherry, caramel malt, and alcohol aroma. Chestnut brown with small head. Very sweet prune, wood, caramel malt, and moderately bitter herbal grass/alcohol flavor. Nice body. Very good.

12oz can. Poured into stemless wine glass. Dark amber honey color, clear, Head never fully fades. I went into this beer with low expectations. Actually, I searched a few stores hoping to be able to get just a single but had to eventually buy a $13 4-pack of 12oz cans, why so much? I don’t even like salted caramel. Fortunately, this beer is nothing like its described. First, I get no salt and its not a beer Willy Wonka would make. Its actually a Belgian Strong Ale without a lot of gimmicks. Aroma is a bit like sweet caramel candy but with a light Belgian candy sweetness and pancake batter. Flavor does have a caramel candy component but its wrapped up in a lightly doughy Belgian biscuit syrup. My descriptors don’t do justice to how actually unsweet the beer really is. I mean its sweet but not tooth aching.

Can: Hazed, amber-brown with a small tan head. Caramel, candi-sugar aroma. Very sweet caramel candy taste.....they could have called it "Tooth Ache"......reminds of one of those candy bars with the plasticky, taffy-like caramel that sticks your teeth clamped together..... A nice bit of saltiness helps the whole thing out....gives it at least ONE different note. Tasty.....but just gets to be too much after only a few sips.
