Mimicking European light lagers, the Cream Ale is brewed utilizing the top fermenting Ale yeast resulting in a more complex flavor and nose. Cream ales traditionally are brewed with a blend of malted barley and corn grits for a light body and golden straw color. A very slight hop presence helps round out this simple but refreshing beer.

Still little hungover from yesterday’s antics so a light cream ale is helpful. Cloudy pale gold. Nose is some bread. Tastes of lemon, crackers, light malt. Creamy and smooth.

Slightly Hazy Yellow, HUGE Soapy Foam Head. There is so Much Foam, That you might Need Three Pints to Fit Just One Bottle. Lots of Soapy Foam Lacing, Light in Aroma Department. Light Creamy, Light Peppery Spice Bitter, Belgian Like Finish. It has been a While Since I’ve had Spotty Cow but this does not remind me it. More Like a Belgian Ale. Mellow, Easy Drinker If You Don’t Mind Excessive Foaming. Pretty Decent.

Enjoyed from can while at Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI while watching a Rockies vs. Brewers game. I didn’t take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being an enjoyable cream ale which was rich in its hop profile, and went down equal parts bitter and creamy. Good good stuff, hope to have this again.

12oz bottle. Filtered yellow-tan. Frothy white head. Delicate creamy corn aroma. A fascinating style near extinction. Very true to style, unique and enjoyable in it’s way. Creamy malt and corn notes. Lack of substantial hop tones keeps it rather one dimensional, but enjoyable in that regard. Smooth and hyper sessionable. I can dig it.
