Butte Creek Organic Pale Ale is coppery golden in color with a frothy white head. The initial flavor feel that arrests the senses are a result of the lavish use of organic Pale, Caramel-60, Carapils, and Wheat malts that are used to provide that slightly bread flavor and give the beer its unique full body and creamy mouth feel. After experiencing the malt, one becomes aware of the robust hop presence brought about by the use of Organic New Zealand Pacific Gem, Cascade, and Wakatu hops.

While that may be enough for some it isn’t for us! To create a crescendo of taste we dry hop once again with even more Organic Cascade hops to give this Organic Pale Ale its delightful fragrant aroma and the well balanced taste it is renowned for. This pale Ale is a delight that can be repeatedly relished. 5.5% ABV, OG 13.5, IBU 33.

Bottle: Hazy, amber-orange with a tall, slightly off-white head. Orange/grapefruit-peel scent. Light caramel malt, orange-peel taste.....kind of a bready bitterness to it. Not bad, but just average....not a lot of excitement.

Bottle. Bready roasted barley malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with nice off-white head. Moderately sweet orange toffee malt and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Good body. Decent - like the malt but not much hop flavor.

Bottle, Deveney’s, Dublin. Clear dark amber pour with a fast fading thin white head. Some muted grassy hop and citrus in the nose. Slightly bland and thinnish palate. Caramel malt heavy flavour with somewhat muffled hoppage. Slight metallic tang towards the finish which lets it down. Alright, but verging on joe average.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber body. Quickly receding off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel, toasted grain. Hint of grass and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Dry. A bit of rubbery taste. Medium body with a slightly sticky texture. Though pleasantly bitter in the finish, there is too much chewy malt.
