Pours a hazy straw color, with a soapy film of a head - aroma of honey, nutmeg, moderate hops, some wildflower-like character - I was a little confused by the commercial description, but this really does taste like they spiced up a pale ale, and somehow it kind of works - things open with ginger, nutmeg, and other warming wintery spices, as well as sweet honey - their potency fades fast, though, and a moderate hop profile and some bready flavors show up behind them - a little bit of honey and warmth returns in the finish - I’m not quite sure why it works, but this is a pretty good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is spices, nutmeg, touch of cinnamon, and maybe a tinge of clove and a dash of honey. Flavor is a lot like a Fall pumpkin beer, however the spice mix is enough to warrant calling this a early winter beer.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours an amber color with a medium head. Poor head retention and lacing. Very slight haze. Spices are dominant in the aroma, mainly your nutmegish pumpkin spices. Seems like there is actual pumpkin, even though the commercial description doesn’t say so. Taste is spice... lighter than the aroma... and some vegetal hops. Medium bodied.
