Bottle: Pours hazy amber with a small, whipped beige head. Allspice/nutmeg/clove aroma. Holiday spice....cardamom, nutmeg, grains, lightly baked dough taste. Powdery spicing...almost overdone, but not bad as a holiday beer.

Bottle. Cardamom and clove dominates the aroma - hints of ginger and malt. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet cardamom, clove, lemon, biscuit malt, and straw flavor - fortunately the spice is much more subdued in the flavor. Decent body.

Draft at aero. From notes. Belgian yeast, baking spices and wheat. Thinner and sweeter than I was expecting.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from clownoisseur, bottled on January 2, 2015, poured into a weizen glass. Orange with small white head. Aroma is cardamom, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is pretty intense cardamom, some clove, and hints of orange peel.

bottle - Pours very hazy yellow with a huge head that required me to pour the beer in stages. There’s a yeasty, spicy aroma. The flavor is sweet and spicy with clove readily apparent. Fruit notes are minimal. There’s some light bitterness in the finish. Given the high ratings for the style, maybe I got an old bottle or something, but I’m not crazy about this one. Overspiced and underwhelming.

From the March 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a golden amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar. The flavor was dry and had a biting spiciness of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, bread and more clove. Long finish of bread, nutmeg and clove. Medium body. Ok.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big pear, apple, orange peel, light banana, clove, pepper, wheat, biscuit, coriander, cardamom, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of spice, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of big pear, apple, orange peel, light banana, wheat, biscuit, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, coriander, cardamom, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of pear, apple, orange peel, light banana, wheat, biscuit, clove, coriander, cardamom, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice witbier. All around good balance and robustness of malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Hazy medium orange body, thin tight off-white head. Strongly herbal nose with clove and cardamom. Clove at the front of the palate followed by grassy notes. Dry and herbal. Average.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has sweet grains with a good amount of Ginger with backing flora. Flavor starts with sweet grains and light fruit and adds a really nice Ginger note.
