Tasted from the tap at the Barcelona Beer Fest (14/03/2015). Hazy amber to orange colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of fruits, bread and ginger. Taste is very sweet and not so much ginger. Aftertaste has some ginger and sweet on the mouth. Next one please!

Bottle. Aroma lots and lots of caramel, fruity hops. Almost clear amber colour. Taste is very sweet, lots of caramel, strength showing, dried fruits, malty all the way. Hardly drinkable, cloying. Good, yet not so good.

330ml bottle from Liquors Hasegawa in Tokyo. Poured into a stemmed tulip. Amber brown color with a modest off-white head. Tiny bubbles are lively on palate. Bready aroma with ginger spice evident. Malty flavor with strong ginger taste present. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Ale on 07 May 2015 at 19:42 - Score: 6

Bottle poured into a hotel glass. Hazy dark amber with off-white head. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, toffee, ginger, candied fruit. Tastes of dark fruit, caramel, ginger. Medium body with a dry finish. Wasn’t expecting the dark fruit so that was kind of strange.

Intense viscous beginning. Dark malt, spicy ginger, not easy to drink. The spicy ginger is there, but not sharp. The malt covers it well, but is for me a bit too present. The aftertaste is a mix of sweetish malt and spicy ginger with a nice fine bitterness. For me a bit too intense sweetish-malty. The ginger is too much in the background....

Served at room temp, it’s a clear copper colour with a 2 finger head of foam.
Ginger and honey in the nose. There’s another spice here, I reckon it’s nutmeg. Nice aromas going on.
Ginger first, honey sweet flavours second, nutmeg brings up the rear. Sight hop bitterness here but that isn’t really needed for me to like this brew.
Smooth smooth mouthfeel. Very creamy. Oh and the foam is long lasting and there’s awesome lacing.
In plain words, this is very good.
