Goodwood Bourbon Barrel Ale is refined by its time in the cask, not defined by it. The process produces balanced, adjunct-free ale with delicious bourbon notes. This copper-toned beaut is medium-bodied and malt-forward with a hint of sweet caramel. It finishes strong and dry with notes of vanilla and bourbon-soaked oak.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of light bourbon, some sort of apple and citrus notes. Tastes of light bourbon and oak, a little sweet citrus. Light body with a dry finish. Nope.

Bottle: Pours clear, deep amber with a small beige head. Caramel, lactic, 2x4 (untreated) aroma. Taste is also lactic-tangy, caramel malt, wood... Didn’t get much bourbon at all. Watery...weak body...

Bottle. Lactic caramel malt and light bourbon aroma. Amber with small but long lasting head. Sweet caramel malt and sour milk flavor. Mild acidic bourbon finish. Minimal bourbon presence - otherwise just a mediocre amber ale.
