Bottle. The notes of the oak barrel do come through. Really more sweet than bitter. Aroma was typical apple with notes of vanilla-oak.

Bottle: Clear honey-amber with a quick white head. Golden apple aroma. Taste is sweet....apple juice, a little wood, a slight tartness. Tame, but fairly tasty.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours an apple juice color and look. Fresh apples aroma. Pretty typical cider here. Not really picking up any bourbon, though there is an oaky side to this. Sweet throughout, and slightly tart finish. I probably had just as much fun trying to recreate the face the apple makes on the bottle, as I did drinking this cider. It’s not bad by any means, but was expecting a little more. Basic, smooth drinking, appley cider.

12 ounce bottle from Libation Station. Pours a clear copper with a thin creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of sweet apples, mild wood and caramel. The taste is vanilla, sweet apples and a tart finish. Thin bodied.

bottle - This cider has a pretty typical apple juice aroma. The flavor is on the tart side for ciders but not strongly so. I wanted there to be significant barrel characteristics, but honestly I didn’t notice it much. It’s also more sweet than dry though not as sweet as Woodchuck’s flagship offering. It’s alright, but that’s about it.
