Scotch Ale Barrel Aged - The same Scotch Ale, aged exactly the same amount of time, in three different barrels. Heaven Hill makes brandy too. This barrel was most likely used to make Christian Brothers VS. Distilled using the same time honored pot still production method used with fine cognacs. Aged 2-6 years in oak barrels and then blended for unique smoothness and full bodied taste in a brandy. Does an oak barrel used for brandy change the complexity of the beer? You be the judge.

Draft: Cloudy brown with a small tan head. Lightest and most delicate aroma of the three....brandy, caramel..... Taste is very smooth, caramel malt, sweet brandy, oak... This one is the one I would probably drink most frequently, though not my overall favourite...it’s the smoothest, the most luxurious, and the softest in presentation of the group..... Ranks #2 of the trio.

Draft. Brandy and toffee malt aroma. Cloudy brown with moderate head. Sweet smooth brandy, toffee malt, and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Nicely blended. Very pleasant.
