Known as Schwarzbier in Germany, a rather strong, but surprisingly smooth, black lager. Nutty, chocolate flavors on the front, with a smooth, velvet finish. A rare beer to find in America. Prost!

32 oz crowler from the brewery. Thanks, Wyatt! Cool to see this classic brew still going strong more than 15 years after it's first rating. Cola dark brown pour. Quite fading head. Smooth and flavorful lager. Toasty malts, slightly rich notes. Cool, bready malt finish. Slight caramel. Delightful black lager.

Draft: Nearly black.....creamy tan head. Slightly bitter chocolate aroma. Chocolate malt, a touch of dark fruit and licorice flavor. Mild....easy drinking. Very nice.
