French farmhouse ales are a traditional brew made to refresh farm workers during the harvest in Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium. This 2014 Summer Seasonal from Great Crescent Brewery is crafted in the same French-farm tradition. Then we add a special variety of tart Michigan-grown cherries to bring out the natural spiciness and clean finish. Just right for hot Summer weather. Cheers!

can - This brew is hugely over-carbonated with an enormous light tan head. I had to pour it in stages. It smells like a characteristic, mildly funky saison yeast. The flavor is tart with spicy yeast and a certain mild, off-tasting malty taste that doesn’t quite come together. It’s okay but probably not one I’ll be looking for again.

Can. Light musty spicy cherry malt aroma. Amber with giant head. Lactic cherry and barley malt flavor. Light bitter herbal finish. Pleasant - a nice beer.
