Yuengling® Summer Wheat is carefully brewed with a combination of wheat and barley malts. Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German Weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

Sampled in draft this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a huge foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was yeast, bread, pepper and sour malts. The flavor was sour malts, yeast, pepper and a bit of phenol. Long finish. Medium body

12oz bottle. Poured a light hazy amber orange color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of light wheat notes, sweet malts. Some light notes of yeast, light banana, sweet notes that remind me a bit of Yuengling.

On draught at Winking Lizard. Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. aroma of wheat, banana and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, banana and mild hops. The finish is wheaty with a slight malt aftertaste. Just average overall.

12 oz. Bottle purchased at Julio’s Liquors. The yeast has a authentic German feel. Light banana and pale malts. The flavor and aroma are a damn near mirror image.
Body has a solid amount of pale grain, honey with banana bready flavors. Body is way lighter than a true German Hefe but it does display the nice yeast characteristics that the style should have. Very easy to drink if you love the style. Funny, I wish I had bought a few bottles instead of just one. It is an easy drinking warm weather brew.

Finally, a chance to try a bottle of this. Been seeing it around but just could get my hands on it. Sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Pour does look like a typical hefe. Smells like a typical hefe. Yes, the taste is like a mild hefe. Well done, good hefe character without being one sided. Decent flavors and aroma of banana and bubble gum fer sure and it never gets in yer face. Really good co2 also. Yes, very good example of an American hefe. well done yuengy! Much better than I expected. Easy going finish. No real ill effects here. One of the better domestic beers that approach the real flavor of german hefe.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Off-white head crackles and recedes to nothing. Bubblegum and banana aromas. Soft and thin with banana and clove front to back. Abrupt bubblegum finish.
