Rocky off white head on a reddish brown body. Malt, cardboard & grain aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth, soft & sticky. Malt, parkin, treacle, burnt syrup & spiced fruit tastes with a sweet finish. Heavy.

Bottle at home, 17th March 2022. Pours a dark brown and hazy. Aroma is caramel, malts, dark fruits and yeast. Taste is nutty, malty, some yeast. It’s quite nice, but I’m not rushing back

Light hazy brown colour, beige foam. Nose of caramel, sweet malts, bread. Taste is bready, light sweet, some caramel, light bitter. Well balanced. Good!

Bottle from Beer Merchants and drunk at home. Clear dark brown colour lasting tan head. Some bread in the mouth. like wholemeal bread. Some hop on finish. a simple brown lager. carries abv well. I would be bored after 2 but it's OK.

Mein Einstiegsbier zum Geburtstagsessen einer Mutter, die freundlicherweise das HB Krems für das familiäre Mittagessen gewählt hat. Auf dem Hahn des Bieres stnd zwar Sommerzwickl, aber aufgrund des Datums und der kalten Außentemperaturen bin ich ziemlich sicher, dass ich das Winterzwickl getrunken habe. Es ist ein leicht rotbraunes , trübes Bier,das in den gekühlten Gläsern einfach wunderbar süffig ist. Es hat einen karamellig-süßen UNteron, der sich aber eher zurück hält -ebenso wie der Hopfen. Es is jetzt keine große Aromenexplosion, aber hat mir nicht nur als Speisenbegleiter viel Freude bereitet.

Dark reddish brown beer, thick off white head. Malty beer, lightly spicy. Flavour has toasty malt, a little fruit, a little spice. Not loads to it but it's very drinkable and pretty pleasant.
