12 ounce bottle from the winter sampler. Pours a clear very dark brown color with a large frothy light brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, herbal and pine hops and, oddly, a faint bit of raisin and curry. The taste is bitter resin, herbal hops, roasted malts, a bit of dark chocolate and a tart finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, mild lingering bitterness.
