This is one big nasty IPA and that is a compliment to its genre. Yes, blue moon is entering into the craft beer arena fer sure, in a big way. This is a big beer. Mild aroma of perfume. On the buds it is a big thick rude waxy bullshitter. BM is now at craft DIPA status. Can’t taste much juniper, if any, but it certainly is mouth coating. If you like big soapy IPA, must try. Does have some co2 which saves it for a lager lover but make no mistake, this iz inyerface. Long sticky bitter finish. Kicks yah in the face. Wew, getting dizzy after this twist off cap bomber, heheh.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Thin with sweet and sour caramel and juniper upfront turning to dry resin in the medium length finish.

Bottle: Clear amber, small white head. Malty, spruce/juniper aroma. Pretty mild to be billed a s double...caramel and evergreens... Not bad, especially for Blue Moon, but a little rough in the balance.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet pine, grapefruit and perfume. The flavor was tangy and sour pine, lemon, perfume, citrus zest and an off and odd presence I could not quite place. Long tangy sour, pine and lemon finish with a lingering odd presence. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

Bottle. Orange malt and light pine aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter juniper/tin flavor. Okay but a bit harsh.
