On tap at Broneys during Ohio Brew Week. Pours a clear light yellow with very little white head. Aroma and taste is light raspberry. Not a lot of flavor, but the favor it had was good.

Draft: Raspberry aroma with a light malt undercurrent. Cloudy golden pour with a medium white head, good lacing. It tastes of stale malt and an appropriate amount of raspberries. Decent if I’m in the right mood.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy orange color with a large head. Good head retention and lacing. Huge tart raspberry aroma. Taste is tart raspberry up front with a rather thin finish... some slight wheat. Medium bodied.

Ok, but not fruity enough for a fruit beer and not beery enough for a non fruit beer this one manages to miss the mark a bit on both ends of the spectrum. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy medium golden color with a very large yellow-white head. The aroma was tangy and sweet berry jam. The flavor was dryish, bitter and musty with a light wheaty note and a moderate vague berry presence. The finish was dry and light berry. The berry is too subdued with this one.

Wow, big raspberry aroma when you pop the lid. Appears to be a pale yellow ale with just a tint of brown in there. In the flavor, it is a little better than the average fruit beer. Most of the beery attributes are covered with the fruitiness. Not as fruity as a fruity lambic and not as fruity as a raspberry cider but the fruitiness is certainly there. Fairly easy to drink and I think this is due to the fact it is less than 4% in ABV. Unfortunately the flavor does not quite live up to the aroma, but yes it is sessionable and probably repeatable. Finish is rather mild for an ale and enjoyable. Well behaved for the most part. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised that this had so many manners.

bottle - Pours light amber with a substantial aroma of raspberries. The flavor is a slightly tart raspberries and sweet malt. It’s light bodied, refreshing, and quaffable, but doesn’t stand out from the many other fruit beers on the market now.

Rerate 09/03/08: Bottled version - sample at the Day Before Labor Day party. This beer pours a pinkish-gold color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing. Raspberries and malt in the nose. Light-bodied and fruity with lightly tart raspberry flavor along with some sweet malt in the background. The finish is fruity and short, with just a bit of raspberry left on the tongue. Average overall. 05/21/02 (2.9): Raspberry is much more pronounced in the aroma than in the flavor. Golden colored.
