A blend of six grains, including flaked oats, working together with the nitro pour to produce an unbelievably smooth mouth feel - a rich, robust body and a slightly sweet node, the perfect blend to warm you after a hard day of climbing in this brew’s namesake crag in England’s Peak District.

Bottle: Black with a thin tan head. Oatmeal malt aroma. Taste is lightly coffee’d, oats, cream. A little roast and ash. Thought it was quite tasty....pretty light to be called a stout, though. Very enjoyable nonetheless.

Tap at source. Roast coffee malt and light ash aroma. Brown with a small off-white head. Light roasty coffee, ash, and fruity flavor. Medium, slightly creamy body. Overall, very light for the style, reminding me more of a robust brown ale or a very light porter.

tap at Ft Wayne OktoBeerfest - Pours hazy amber-brown with a small, lingering, light tan head. It smells of caramel and earthiness. Different. Taste is of roasted malt, caramel, and coffee. It’s medium bodied with a lingering roast finish.
