An India Pale Ale, Hair in the Mailbox is bright and hoppy at 6.3% ABV. Color is hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma blends notes of malt, honey, tropical and citrus fruits, light floral tones and lemon zest. The palate is bursting with a blend of orange and pineapple from the hops and warm notes of pine. Body is medium with soft carbonation and both sweet and spicy. Finish is both dry and bitter with light resin and biscuit notes. Easy drinking and great for pairing with burgers or other greasy foods.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; clear golden amber pour with a big frothy off white head, aroma has citrus and a hint of peach, taste has crisp malts, bitter grapefruit, floral action, along with some spice.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden yellow with a nice fluffy head. Nose - orange and apple. Mayve grape too. Toffee backdrop. Taste - toffee dominates the fruit salad notes this time. Palate - light to medium bodied. Fruity soft middle section. Reasonable dryness on the finish but not as fresh as some. Overall - more toffee going on than I expected from Mikkeller.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of menthol, honey and marmalade. Flavour of lemon drops, boiled carrot and orange. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A solid IPA, even if it does err towards being too sweet.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, pale malt, fruity hops, citrus, grapefruit.
