Hopscure is the 4th taste expression released under this label to mark the 10th anniversary of 'Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor'. The refined balance between 5 hop types and roasted malts lends the beer a unique floral aroma and a pleasant bitterness at the finish.

750mL bottle at the International Geuze & Kriek festival. Pours murky briwn with a beige head. Stale roast and allium on the nose. Flavour is quite harsh, stale toasted rye bread, cardboard. This is not coming together for me.

750mL bottle at International Geuze & Kriek Festival 2025, pours a cloudy dark chestnut amber brown with a humungous beige head. Aroma has earthy hops, some roast, Belgian yeast, and some spiciness. Flavour has spicy, earthy yeast, medium roast, toasted caramel, and red fruits. Old but still a nice faded spicy Belgian. Solid enough.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle, 9.3%. Brown sugar aroma. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and bready. Not as sweet as the aroma. Dusty finish. Distinct bitterness, but clean enough. Nutty aftertaste.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with firm, beige head. Malty nose with dried apricots, brown bread, caramel, orange, ripe banana, herbs, anise and butterscotch. Malty, spicy, roasty taste with notes of dried apricots, caramel, brown bread, toast, orange peel, coffee, butterscotch, anise and a balanced floral/herbal bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Complex, tasty and elegant. Very nice.

Thanks, dad, for sharing! Clear dark brown-amber, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of brown bread, toast, walnut oil, old raisin, prune, dusty attic, dried orange peel. Taste has sweet prune, dried banana, pineapple & pear in a brown-bready malt profile, bit nutty-toasty with earthy effect. Earthy & herbal hoppy finish, note of chocolate powder, some coffee & dried fruits, warming gin-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. One could argue about the style but in itself this is a very enjoyable dark Ale.

Shared with special people, na pewno tak bedzie.

*rating overgezet* Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat gistachige geur. De smaak is moutig, caramel en turf achtig.

On tap at Het Anker brewery, side by side with my dad. A pour that looks just like hazy Coca-cola, below a much lacing, beige-hued head. Aroma is molasses, cherry, coke, chocolate, latte, maple syrup. Sweet indeed. Mout is silky, oily, restrained fizziness. Good bitterness, some metal, long-lasting.
