Saison d’Brett is a batch of Flagship Saison aged in our 800 gallon foudre. The oak from the foudre complements the fruit and spice flavors from the saison yeast as well as the funkiness contributed by the addition of brettanomyces yeast.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a near clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is full of barnyard and earthy leaves with sweet grains and light fruits underlying. Flavor has lots of funky light fruits and earthiness with sweet grains and flora throughout.

Bottle courtesy of TooManyBeers. Funky brett, lemon-pineapple, and light spice aroma. Cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Follows the nose with funky bretty yeast, slightly sweet zingy lemon, pineapple, and light white pepper flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation - nice and crisp.Very nice.

Tap at Funkwerks - my 200th official saison rating (though I have tried quite a bit more) - what better way to commemorate than with a brett saison from.a local brewery? - anyway, I am glad they decided to do a recipe change after brett dream - this is superior in every way - notes is dry, flinty, earthy - moderate funk, lots of pepper - underlying notes of pineapple - flavor is crisp and quite dry - some earthy, dusty, almost Orval-like character - finish of dry minerals, spicy, peppery phenols, dusty yeast, light musk/horseblanket - must buy a bottle to see how the brett develops.
