This dark brown ale has a gentle malt sweetness with a nutty, light caramel character that lasts into the finish. Brewed with imported english maris otter barley and fuggle hops. Its dry finish and low hop bitterness makes it readily suited to drinking in quantity. Refreshing yet flavorful.

Draft: Nearly clear.........woody brown. Aroma is lightly nutty, malty. Taste is light chocolate, nut, malt. Nothing surprising, but good.

tap at Dash In - Pours dark and mostly clear amber-brown with a small off-white head. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, mild, and bland. There’s a little caramel and in the finish some rather generic hop bitterness. It’s light to medium bodied and overall a disappointment.

Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. Pours dark brown with a medium thin beige head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, roasted nuts and hops. Light body with a sweet malty character with notes of toffee and mildly bitter hops. The finish is malty with a short sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.
