Keg at the Tosa Tavern (Whole Foods Wauwatosa), 5/10/19. Black, thin fizzy tan head. Aroma of tart cherry, roast, brett, soy. Very reminiscent of A-1 steak sauce. Taste is dark cherry, lemon, vinegar, berries. Medium bodied, extremely strong tartness.

375 ml bottle, bottled December 2015.
Dark brown body, with a small, creamy, beige head.
Beautiful aroma with loads of raspberries, dark chocolate, cocoa, some toffee, moderate whisky,
Tastes quite similar, with some more vinegar, some alcohol.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes warm, a bit alcoholic, medium sweet, with vinegar, raspberries, some chocolate, some whisky.

Very tasty. Still with a lot of raspberries, which are really beautiful, especially in the nose. Drinks a bit alcoholic, but so rich and delicate. Outstanding, among my favourite Crooked Staves.

Draught at Pita Kabob in Visalia. Near black with no head. The berry really pronounces well here, and the souring is a nice complement. Great beer all around.

A deep dark brown ale with no head. In aroma, beautiful mix of raspberry pulp, light chocolate, light acidity, very nice and rich. In mouth, a super tart mix of raspberries, lactic acid, Epsom and Brett, intense and complex. On tap at Mikkeller sfo.

Thanks to Kraddel. 750 ml. bottle split with 3. 2016 Harvest. Black with no head. Nose is earthly lots of fruit but bit more dark berries than raspberry, forest fruit, vinegar, dark earthly fruit,..; Same fruit in the taste, thick earthly lots of sour, lemon, vinegar but good, dark earthly fruit, dark malts soaked in vinegar, some raspberry in the back, complimentary in the back, very thick with little in the way of carbonation, acidity really builds & get bit too much, very sour but with great dark earthly fruit, very tasty overall still even if quite sour, lots of taste, very nice.

Pours dark red, nearly black, small tanned head fades instantly. Smell is funky, forest, earthy, raspberry purée. Taste is intense, sharp, sour, lemonsourness, very dry. Not really balanced. Raspberry purée, oaky, funk. Rather thick body. Lower Carbo. Mild roastyness from the malts. OK. Not balanced, but not bad.

On tap at Stub & Herbs. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of beautiful tart raspberry with a hint of funk and dark grains underlying. Flavor is full of sour raspberry with a bit of acid, dark grains and a nice funk note supporting.
