Bottle: Pours near to black, with a thick tan head. Smoky chocolate, oatmeal aroma. Flavour is wood-smoked coffee and chocolate malts.....vanilla. Excellent charred-malt light bittering after the initial sweetness. Very nice......a pleasure to drink.

Draft. Light lactic chocolate malt aroma. Brown with small head. Sweet oatmeal chocolate malt flavor. Smooth.

Tap at Cincy Beerfest. Light chocolate malt aroma. Near black with a small tan head. Sweet chocolate, earthy, and cola flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a growler (under the Triple Digit label). The beer pours brownish-black with a medium thin and foamy beige head that dissipates slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and flavors of roasty coffee, sweet malt and slight dark chocolate. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
