330ml bottle at home. Bottled 11/2013. black color, very small coffee-colored head. strong smell of wood, malty roast, poletus, spices, coffee roast. full body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of wood, peat, acidic, some malty roast, alcohol, ash. finishes with peat and wood notes. Expected more, feels rather ... one-dimensional. Has a nice mouthfeel, but I dont like the taste. It is basically only wood, peat and some ash ... not much else. Definitly not my favorite De Molen Imp Stout.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle (9ish): Pous murky near black with a brown head, but less brown than others. Aroma is chocolate, brandy, roasted malts, some hops, but not too much. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter, deep and complex. Body is thick and oily. This is really a slow sipper. I just finished law school and my last exam was for a class taught by a dutch professor. i drink this in her honor, even if I failed the class. Cheers.

Aroma: roasted malt and chocolate. Flavour: sweet chocolate and caramel, nice bitterness and notes of fruits. A creamy mouthfeel. Colour: pitch black with a very light brown head. From: Voldby købmandsgård mar. 2015.

Bottle. Black color with inch thick beige head. Liquorice, bitter chocolate, coffee, nice aroma. The taste is overwhelming: Chocolate like crazy, liquorice, vanilla, booze (not too much though). Sounds easy but it is just so perfectly balanced, it?s hard to describe. Sweet without being sweet. Smooth carbonation. Fantastic. 8-5-9-4-16Bottled 4/11/2013, consumed February 2018 with Kiwey. Same vocabulary applies, but still needs to go a bit higher in overall score, the balance is incredible. The mouthfeel is super creamy as well. 8-4-9-5-17
