5-MAR-2017. Sample from BOTTLE 33 CL. Pitch black, dark espresso head. Rich dark fruit aroma, raisins, dried cranberries and prunes, subtle roasty notes. The taste is also fruity but with big roasty and bitter kick - fruity acid coffee. 8-5-8-4-16=4.1

29-DEC-2014. BOTTLE 33 CL from eluosiren. Medium intensity, noble roast - chocolate, coffee beans with some clove-like spice? Some simple "dark" sweetness (cold sweet coffee?), a touch of warming alcohol and spicy bitter finish. I also get some fresh cut zucchini or avocado, that I often see in stouts. Simple, balanced, but not earth-shattering. 7-4-8-4-16=3.9

330ml bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Black colour, lively beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, molasses, dark fruits, chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt with leather, coffee & dark chocolate, some nutty notes and lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, warming boozy roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Appearance is black as night, not much head to speak of, a slight beige foamy covering. Aroma- huge roastiness, rich chocolate cake, leather, cigar smoke, burnt fruitcake, fudge, vanilla hints, booze. Smells sublime. Taste- roasted malt, quite a bit of smokiness, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, burnt treacle, lengthy bitter finish. Mouthfeel is oily, and a bit clingy. Excellent.

Bottle thanks to Rick. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong roast, booze, wood. Thin mouthfeel with rich roasted malt, dark chocolate and nice roast dry finish.
