Don’t be fooled by this beer…it’s vanilla, not tapioca! Dark color, creamy head, and complex flavor combine for a substantial beer that gives you a soft nose with a light, bold taste. Madagascar vanilla beans are the star of this beer, accented by bourbon and cocoa. Your brain tells you it’s going to be deep, dark, and heavy, but your tongue knows the truth. You’ll love the voodoo that we do…

Rich and smooth with roasted malts offering chocolate and vanilla notes. Madagascar vanilla beans.

Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours black with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with some vanilla and earthy dark grains backing. Flavor combines earthy dark grains and roasted malts with touches of rye and vanilla supporting.

16 oz. can, from StFun. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, tan head. Aroma of chocolate pudding, rye spice, caramel, licorice, and light cinnamon. Sweet and syrupy, lightly bitter, with a smooth rye finish. Medium body, creamy and smooth, and a bit astringent. This is a fun, flavorful porter. Harsh and bitter at first, but it gets markedly better as it warms.

tap at 800 degrees in February - Smells of coffee and sweet milk chocolate. It’s a near black brew with a very small head. The flavor is sweet with lots of chocolate. It’s medium bodied and finishes with roast coffee. I thought any bourbon character was quite subtle. Good brew.
