Sun King’ Maibock is a traditional Bavarian Spring lager. Mai literally translated means May and Bock mean a strong lager. The style has often been referred to as Oktoberfest’s Big Brother.
This delicious golden lager was crafted with German specialty malts that lend a rich biscuit character and a kiss of honey. The sweetness is balanced with spicy German Noble hops to create an incredibly drinkable beer.

Tap at New Albanian. Fruity apple aroma, very light aroma. Clear golden with a small off-white head. Sweet nondescript malt flavor, a little fruit. Overall the flavor struck me as very sugary. Medium smooth body.

On tap at Haymarket. Pours a near clear deep amber brown with an off white head that begins and remains at the edges. Aromajas a strong note of sweet grains and bread with a hint of caramel. Flavor begins with bread but is mainly sweet with bread but is joined by sweet grains and caramel.
