A low alcohol session smoke, great for summertime drinkin. We start with the highest quality English Maris Otter base malt then we add caramel malt from the UK and equal parts beechwood and cherry wood smoked malt. A small addition of English nugget hops balance out this ales delicate malty sweet and smokey flavor and aroma. The final touch is a short conditioning period on toasted French oak. This enhances the toasty notes and adds a subtle spicy complexity.

On tap. French Oak version. Pours an almost clear amber with a tiny white head. Lightly tart woody nose, sweet caramel with a whiff of smoke. Light body, excessive carbonation, lightly sweet berry accents, a dry, dusty and lightly ashy smoke note. No real bitterness. 281012
