This Munich style lager was brewed with German Pilsner and Munich malts as well as a small addition of molasses. The result is a very crisp and clean profile that really lets the high-quality malt character shine through. The sweetness of the malt is balanced with generous additions of low alpha acid Crystal and Hersbrucker hops to keep a truly German flavor in the base beer. To condition the brew, we aged it for 20 days in Maker’s Mark bourbon barrels, the resulting whiskey character is prominent and complex but not overpowering.

Tap at brewpub. Light white grape and apple aroma and bourbon when it warmed. Golden with a small white head. Sweet malty, earthy fruit, sweet tobacco flavor, and bourbon as it warmed. Medium smooth creamy body.

Tap. Berry malt and light bourbon aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet bourboun and barley malt flavor. Nice malty finish. A great idea - extremely nice to have a bourbon barrel aged beer that isn’t an Imperial stout. Works very well - hope they try some more styles aged in bourbon barrels.
