Robust, smoky, woodsy. Complexity from roasted barley. Dry finish.
For those who seek a rich, full-bodied beer to savor slowly, there’s nothing like a good traditional stout. The creamy head, dark color and rich body combine for a uniquely satisfying drinking experience. In our Big Stone Stout, we achieve a complex flavor by using a large variety of malts, East Kent Goldings hops, and London ale yeast. This combination creates a traditional flavor with smokey and woody overtones. Perceived as malty-rich at first, it finishes richly roasty and dry.

tap at the brewpub - Pours very dark brown and has a roast malt and chocolate aroma. It tastes of that roast malt with some hints of coffee and chocolate. It’s medium bodied. Solid stout.

Whoa - where'd this come from. If I didn't know any better I'd say the folks at BBC are getting better at what they do. This is big, rich, and roasty. Full of flavor and still a good match for food.
