Clean, crisp and malty German style lager. This style originated in Vienna, Austria and is exhibits the light copper color and toasty flavor and aroma of Vienna malt. The German noble hops Hallertau and Tettnager are used to balance this lager’s malty profile. Against the Grain specifically brewed this beer for Chicago Craft beer week, drawing inspiration from the most notable accomplishment from the windy city...the hot dog.

Enjoyed on tap at Lillie’s Q in Chicago, IL while eating some BBQ with family. This stuff was just OK in my opinion. Appearance was a dark murky brown with not much head. Aroma of malt, syrup. Taste was a bit buttery, syrupy as well, lightish carbonation, just an average brew in my opinion.

Tap. Caramel malt aroma - light. Amber color with small head. Sweet toffee malt and light herbal hops flavor. Very nice - one of the best Viennas I’ve ever had. Nice hoppiness.
