This Nitrogenated dry stout has a plush texture contributed by the pouring method employed by Guiness and a frieze of other breweries. The beer is pushed with nitrogen through a restrictor plate that creates a dense, shag head and a smooth lightly carbonated beer beneath. The result is a saxony, opaque black ale that is light, smooth and bittersweet. We brewed this stout with Maris Otter pale ale, brown malt, flaked and roasted barley. Then balanced that maltiness out with a pile of English Nugget hops. Berber get it while it lasts.

Tap at brewery. Coffee, chocolate, and sour lactic aroma. Black brown with a small creamy tan ring, nice lacing. Coffee, chocolate, and acidic flavor. Light medium body. Both flavor and body remind me more of a porter than stout, but still excellent.

Tap at source (local beer for rating #5000). Lightly smoky chocolate and coffee malt aroma - excellent. Black color with nice head. Slightly sweet chocolate, coffee and light ashy malt flavor. Finishes a bit light. A very nice stout.
