Beautiful rich red-amber in color. Smooth with a hint of sweetness.
This is a mild beer, with a malty toastiness, buttery smoothness and beautiful ruby color. It is a good “transition beer,” which can be enjoyed by all for its rich yet mellow flavor. According to Michael Jackson, the English beer expert, the amber ale is found in many countries, yet it varies greatly from region to region. Our amber is made with nine different malts, including English Mild, Munich, American 2-Row and Caramalt. London ale yeast is used, and the hops are Mt. Hood and Tettnanger.

16oz can from shrubber85. Medium brown pour, small spirals of tiny bubbles. Aroma is toasted malts, nutty and sweet. Taste is more sweet notes, caramel, brown bread, apples. Pretty damn tasty.

Draft. Sweet tea-like malt aroma. Murky brown with a small beige head. Light caramel malt flavor. LIght body, moderate carbonation. Not bad, but rather boring.

Tap at Columbus Bar. Toffee malt and light pepper aroma. Dark amber with small head. Sweet caramel malt and peppery hops flavor. Different - definitely more spice than the typical brown ale.

draft at Mad Anthony Oktobeerfest - Pours amber with a small off-white head. The malt laden aroma has a mild fruity characteristic. The flavor is sweet and caramel rich with a touch of dark fruit. There’s minimal hops presence. This amber is pretty solid.

Updated: This beer has come along way and is no longer the thin watery mess it was. They describe it as their maltiest brew, but thats not really correct. It does have a slight buttery maltiness but it is also loaded with spicy hop flavor that makes this a good choice.
