Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5

On tap at Local Option. Pours a clear amber brown wilts light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has dark grains with a bit of coffee and backing rye that has light spice. Flavor has dark grains, nuttiness and light bitter chocolate with rye that comes out in the finish.

Tap (growler). Light rye and coffee/chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown color with medium head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter earthy herbal hops flavor. Nice rye flavor.

Growler. Chocolate/coffee malt, charcoal aroma. Dark brown with a moderate creamy tan head, good lacing. Chocolate/coffee malt, earth flavor with a light bitter hop finish. Light bodied.
