As seen at Flat 12! Malty and rich. Hints of chocolate and the nice roasty finish of coffee complement a milk-sugar sweetness that gives body and a full mouthfeel.

Bottle. Dark brown with an explosive, long lasting head. Nice lace. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Taste is slightly, malty sweet upfront with coffee and chocolate in the middle and a slight hoppy finish.

12 oz. can from Joe. Pours black, with a small, tan ring. The nose is strong coffee, milk chocolate, and caraway seeds. Sweet and malty, with a harsh bitterness that lingers. Medium body, astringent, sticky, and harsh. This is a hard and harsh stout.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Andy by way of trade, 11.6.14
Aroma: The aroma is clean and malty, roast, lactose, fairly light aroma overall
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head and light, drippy lacework
Flavor: The flavor is clean and malty too, not super sweet, but pretty malty, with a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, leaning medium's way, soft carbonation, and a light dry finish
Overall Impression: I found this to be a solid example of the style. The aroma and flavor are both on the lighter side, but both are still solid. The lightness of the body works nicely actually, and the smoothness add to the drinkability. Pretty solid stuff.

Bottle. Deep brown body. Short, frothy tan head. Aroma of cocoa powder, chocolate nubs, roasted malt, vanilla, coffee. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Chocolate and cocoa dominate the taste which also has notes of vanilla. The finish displays some roasted malt bitterness.

tap at the brewery - Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is of dark roast malt and coffee. The flavor has good roast and coffee elements with a touch of lactose. This medium to full bodied brew has a roasty finish. Quite tasty.
