A traditional unfiltered Bavarian wheat beer with aromatic hints of banana and clove. This beer won the Bavarian Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver Colorado Staurday, September 27, 2003. It is made with up to 50% wheat malt instead of all malted barley which lends a lighter note. It is deep gold in color with a very low hop bitterness level and a dense head of white foam. It is traditionally enjoyed as the summer beer of choice in Bavaria and pairs well with appetizers, sandwiches and subs.

tap at the brewpub - Pours cloudy gold with a thin white head. It smells of yeast and citrus. It has a sweet, citrus taste. This brew is a light bodied, typical hefeweizen that could use more spice to liven it up. Not bad.
