Draft At NA. Amber brown, off white head. Sweet, delicate brown sugar and dark fruit aroma. A rather mild Dubbel that seems to have a lot in common with an English Brown ale? Delicately sweet, very sessionable. Not really true to style, but an interesting brewpub creation I suppose. Brown/Amber/Dubbel. Mild. Sweet, malt centered, not much depth or richness.

Tap. Toffee malt, cherry and light alcohol aroma. Hazy orange-brown color with small head. Bitter-sweet orange, toffee malt and dry grassy hops flavor. Not as sweet as the typical dubbel - still a good drinker.

Draft. Deep brown body. Tan, fizzy head, mostly diminishing. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel, chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. The finish leaves a slight metallic taste, very much like a light stout. The beer is enjoyable, but it was missing some of the classic abbey charactertistics of a dubbel: the hints of overripe fruit and earthy, moldy yeast flavor.
