03-06-20 // 440ml can. A really nice Helles. Smooth grainy with a very mild hop note. Price is reasonably yet I get same qualitites for less from smaller Franconian breweries. But great to see FG doing a Helles with their own grown malt. Good.

Can from Sophie’s Beer Store. Hazy pale golden body with a white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried grass and white bread. Flavour of chalky malt and orange rind. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Dry and chalky. Decent.

Can in the garden, as the U.K. heatwave continues, 20th May 2020. Pours clear and clean. Aroma is bready, fresh grass. Taste is refreshing, grass and hay, bitter, bready finish. Enjoyable

Can. Almost clear paleish gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine crispy carbonation. Light smooth malts bring a light sweetness. A mild lager tang and a little minerals in the mid. The hop combo brings a semi sweet light piney floral citrus with a touch of smooth pear in the background. Smooth and semi dry finish. Nicely done. Can imagine a many pint session going down very well with this one.

440ml can from sophiesbeerstore.co.uk. Clear pale gold, moderate white head. Aroma has a mild lager malt sweetness. Overall character seems fairly mild, thin bodied with gentle fluffy malt. Expected more of a fuller, sweeter body but generally fine.

Can. Unclear glowing yellow color with white head. Aroma is earthy hops, very classic German stuff, not too fruity. Taste is classic Mittelfrüh. Mineraly mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice Pils I'd say - great hop combination (like I like it in my homebrew too)

Can, two weeks old. Hazy pale yellow, white foam. Flowery, kiwi, spicy hops and light sulphuric nose. Medium to light body, dry, crisp and crunchy, light mineral and sulphur, pleasant flowery hops with a mellow bitterness. Quite good low-key aromatic lager, broad hoppy but not cloying and fairly moreish.

29 November 2019. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Cheers to the lovely Anke, tderoeck, 77ships & Ghent beer crew! Clear golden, very thin, frothy, white head. Aroma of pure malt, banana, apple, yeast, grass. Taste has sweet banana, bready maltiness, bitter grain, grass & yeasty undercurrent, tad sour even. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, lingering yeast & apple. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Plain good stuff.
