SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale. Careful use of hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. A deliciously satisfying and refreshing pint!

Bottled 500ml. K-Isolinna. BB 09/2013. Clear golden color, small white head. A bit skunky, salty English hoppy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Nutty, woody, citrusy English hops in a bit too thin malt base. Standard British macro bitter. Not too bad, and even slightly better than keg version I had recently.

Bottle from one of the supermarkets. Poured a crystal clear amber with a thin white broken head. The aroma is of fruit and honey. The flavour is medium bitter and hoppy with a rich creamy fruity palate. A very nice session ale that deserves a better rating.

1 Pint Cask @ the Hop Polles β this was retardedly expensive as opposed to their deserts which were quite cheep. Last one for the roadβ¦. I assume that this is the version that I had, if I remember correctly ABV matches. Pours a bright burned caramel with a very creamy, cask lacing head. Smell is mellow floral, light all the way with light hops, caramel and biscuit malts, toffee, light herbs. Taste is lightly bitter herbal, sticky, caramel, toffee, Tesco value pudding, grass, light herb, near aluminium touch. Mouthfeel is like a cross between nitro & cask. Bit bull but certainly not non-agreeable.
