Masterpiece was the name of one of the former dray horses at the museum. This beer was brewed with great success at the Museum brewery. Aromatic hops, toasted cereal notes and hints of smoke and spice enhanced by fragrant fruity character and a top note of fresh bread. A full luxurious mouth-feel combines with a subtle peppery character to create an exquisite finish.

Handpull cask at the Old Horse, Leicester. Tawny brown, clear with a small white head. Nutty, burnt caramel aroma with almost a bit of smoke. Taste is far less sweet than the aroma suggests. There's a strong astringency in the finish, with notes of citrus peel in the aftertaste. A bit messy but enjoyable enough.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2017. A clear deep orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is big tangy vinegar, apricot jam, sweaty hop and silage. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts, caramel malts, tangy citrus, little off flavour, green apple, apricot jam. Palate is medium sweet, tangy, moderate carbonation. Not a fan.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 6/2/2017. Amber in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet beer, with some hedgerow fruit, bready malts and a decent, bitter, finish. Fine.

Gravity, half, shared with Finn, mini-festival at Brunswick Inn. Amber coloured body, near-clear. Fragile lacing. Naked at the top. Aroma of spices and leafy hops. Hints of ginger to a malt-fruity taste profile. Resinous bitterness to the ending. Has got some interesting moments (Derby 17.02.2016).
