Bottle, 750 ml courtesy of Zec brothers, shared with them Max and Miro B. Dark orange, fresh fruit, dried fruit, peach, wood, sweetish and tart and bitter finish. Complex and drinkable. Wonderful.

Now here's something. Age and wood turned the base almost completely flat, and it certainly portified a bit. Sweet, syrupy, rich and really vinous. Raisins, some wood, a good bit of acidity too. Fun and pretty tasty, but on its way down.

08/10/2019 : Pours unclear amber, small white head. Smell is fleshy, tart, oak, bit of wine. Taste is full, tad tart, red wine. oak, very nice ! mild glue-features. usually , i like these beers way more with a few years of age on it, so I assume i'll like this one more in the future as well. 7.4/10
Re-rate 9/12/2023 . Pours unclear blonde. Scent is glue, velpon, oak. Taste is full, tart, velpon, light acetic acid, oak, red wine fruityness. Higher carbonation, sharp feel, also more alcohol focussed than I remember it being, even boozy. Not at all my favorite vintage - still isn't, even though I had it side by side with a fresh ( 2021 ) one, i prefered the later. Keeping the OG score since I still agree with it .

10 August 2019. At Belgian Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the crew, thanks for hosting, Tim! Thanks to Sandra & Suyra for bringing this back from the source... Hazy golden-orange with a lasting, frothy, unstable, off-white head. Complex aroma of yellow apple, apricot, straw, stonefruit, starfruit, lemon acid, orange peel, white grapes, wood. Taste is medium fruity sour, offering lots of unripe stonefruit, lemon, gooseberry, going over sweetish orange, mandarin & apricot into ripe pear, rendering it somewhat weirdly phenolic & medicinal indeed, but countered by a woody & grassy tone, next to a more asssertive stonefruit core accent. Constant bready maltiness paves the way for the dryish, earthy hoppy finish that is tart, spicy, woody, a bit medicinal with the sweet & sour yellow fruits lingering. Nicely warming alcohol hints at triple sec. Medium body, slick-oily texture, lively carbonation. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this outcome of a barrel-aged Stille Nacht, but the result is rich, elegant and interesting. What a way to end this tasting!

Thanks Tim! Beautiful. Great aroma, marzipan, Xmas fruit. Taste is great. Bit vinous, beautiful, light sourness, booze is great, pear, fruity, sweet and lovely.
