Part of their 2014 Summer Mixed Pack, in a brown bottle. Pours a pale golden colour with a frothy white bubbly head, good retention and creamy-bubbly lace. Very light pine nose with some grassy hops. The taste is mildly hoppy with citrus and grass, and lightly sweet grain malts in the finish. Not a bad brew, which makes sense that it is based on the recipes of 1800s IPAs. Not a today-hopbomb, just a nice easy-drinking grassy one. Just wish I could feel the oak (would be interesting).

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden. Has a small hoppy nose with floral notes that provide some of the light flavour too alongside some fruit, but it’s all understated, although the ale itself is likeable and easy drinking. Has a pale ale style but nothing really toasted here.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 4/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep golden color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, toffee, toasted oak, light vanilla, and herbal/oak earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and oak notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, toffee, cracker, bread, vanilla, toasted oak, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/oak earthiness. Light herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, toffee, cracker, bread, toasted oak, vanilla, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and oak flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice and pleasant oak aged English IPA. All around good complexity and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and oak flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Uklar lys brun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter noe søtlig malt og hint av humle. Søtlig og syrlig i smak. Lettdrikkelig med godt med kullsyre.

Bottle 330ml. clear glass. [ As Innis & Gunn Toasted Oak IPA ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, fruity hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140705]

Bottle 0.33l from local Alko, Helsinki. BBE NOV 14. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, caramel, sweetness, butter, toffee, some hints of hops and malts. Horrible and also too carbonated for me.

Smooth slightly malty beginning. Fresh, vanilla, hints of oak. Smooth and mild. Very nice and smooth. Nice, but not too hoppy. But slightly floral in the aftertaste.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 11.2 ounce: Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma is toffee, toast, some citrus, and just a hint of oak. Taste is much like an ESB. Hops not very prominent. Oaking is not that prominent either. It is not bad, but it is a little bland.
