India Pale Ale first made its name in the 19th century. Here's hoping our pioneering IPA can make its mark too.

Its fervent hoppy character hails from the unique addition of large quantities of hops at three separate points during brewing. The result is a beer that's rounded yet refreshing, with delicate floral notes and oodles of zesty freshness.

Malt: I & G Ale Malt & Wheat
Hops: Goldings & Styrian Goldings
Maturation: Lightly toasted American oak heartwood in our Oakerators®

Wenig röstiger, leicht hopfiger Beginn mit deutlicher Malzigkeit. Der Hopfen ist trotz der Lagerung noch angenehm vorhanden, rund, nur geringe Süße. Parfümiert. Gut! 8/9/10/9/10/9

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is caramel malt, light yeast, light hop. The flavour is light to medium bitter with a light sweet buttery toasty, chardonnay like palate. Not so much in the way of hops though! An IPA ? I don’t think so, but nice enough all the same.

Clear golden beer with a thin frothy head. Light citrus aroma with a light bitter edge. Light caramel flavour with a tangy fruit edge. Not special but tasty enough.

330 ml bottle. Pours gold with light head. Aromas of sweet malts, grass, and light toffee. Hard to get much from the flavor with the exception of grassy sharp hops on a bland malty base. Very close to an industrial.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Clear golden yellow with white head. Vanilla, toffee, caramel, very light subtle hops. Tastes like a slightly less flavourful I&G Original with some extremely light hopping (barely detectable).

Pours amber with a large fading head.Nose shows sweet caramel, toffee, butterscotch, vanilla oak, golden syrup. Very sweet-smelling but also very tempting.Sweet flavours too, although things do dry out a little as the toasted oak shines. Still a fair bit of toffee and honey followed by toasted coconut oak notes.Carbonation is too aggressive.
